God is Love

Resting in the Unchanging Love of God
In a world that often feels conditional—where affection is earned through performance and love is withdrawn when we fail—God’s love stands in stark contrast. It is not a reward for our goodness; it is a free gift offered to us simply because of who He is.
God is love itself. It’s not just something He does; it is the essence of His character.
Here are three truths about God’s love to anchor your heart today:
  • It is Unconditional and Constant: Romans 5:8 tells us that God showed His love while we were still sinners, not after we got our act together. There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more, and nothing you can do to make Him love you less.
  • It is Sacrificial: The ultimate proof of this love is the cross. It is a love that gives the best—His own Son—to bridge the gap between our brokenness and His holiness.
  • It is Secure: Nothing in this world—no adversity, mistake, or fear—can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
If you are feeling forgotten or tired of trying to prove your worth, rest in this: You are deeply loved.
You don’t need to spend all your time and effort searching for love; you are free to live in it and allow it to fill you up.
How have you experienced the comfort of God’s love in a difficult season? Share in the comments below!
